Creating a shared vision for Morris
Morris 2050 Growing Together is a long-term Community Plan that will guide future development in the Town for future generations. It will lay the foundation for land use and zoning, transportation and parking, pedestrian mobility and streetscape improvements.

Our Commitment to Reconciliation
The Town of Morris is located on Treaty One lands, the original territories of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and on the National Homeland of the Red River Métis. We proudly acknowledge our role in the many relationships that make up our home and commit to a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration for the future.
Share Your Thoughts
We welcome you to share your vision and thoughts about the future of Morris. We will provide several opportunities for the community to share their stories, perspectives and thoughts throughout the project.

The Story of Morris

As the fifth oldest urban municipality in Manitoba, the Town formerly known as Scratching River boasts a rich history and a resilient economy. Located at the junction of Highway 75, CN and CP rail, Morris has emerged over the twentieth century as a strategic hub for commerce, culture and community.
