Hooman Hematian is a dedicated doctoral candidate at the University of Manitoba, where his academic journey commenced in Iran and has since evolved within the Canadian milieu.
Hooman's academic pursuits are centred around the intersection of urban design and public health, where he delves into the intricate psychological dimensions underpinning the well-being of urban inhabitants.
His research focuses on urban open spaces and their impact on the health and well-being of communities. He is passionate about creating human-centric, sustainable cities that offer people a better quality of life through well-planned urban spaces.
Hooman has a diverse skill set, encompassing software such as ArcGIS, AutoCAD, SketchUp, an others, in addition to traditional hand drawing and drafting, to conceptualize innovative strategies and designs to solve urban challenges.
With a bachelor's degree in planning and a master's degree in urban design, he has an unwavering commitment to improving the quality of life and fostering healthy, resilient communities.
